HiGH QUALiTY is one of the first Polish groups on the PC scene. It emerged after the dissolution of the group Open The Sky, which was a typical hacking and swapping group. The group was founded in 1993 by Ducky and Sako (both ex-members of Open The Sky), and soon other members joined. The group created four demos: First Symptom (PC), The M.O. (PC), CoTheMO (PC), and Vabank (Amiga). Also noteworthy were the musical productions created by musician Zuo, who composed several excellent tracks for demos and several other pieces. The group operated the HiGH QUALiTY BBS, which served as a node in the FidoNet network at address: 2:480/31. KHC, Ducky, and Sako, besides FidoNet, actively participated in the pioneering introduction of the Internet in Poland (KHC at the Palace of Youth - part of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw), and Ducky and Sako at the XIV St. Staszica High School (formerly K. Gottwald High School). The group maintained close contacts with groups from the Amiga scene - mainly Union and Funzine. HiGH QUALiTY organized Staszic Compo I, Staszic Compo II. The last two productions were presented at the Próba Generalna II party (1996) and Intel Outside III (1996). It is worth mentioning that the founders of the group, Ducky and Sako, before coding in assembler on the PC, previously coded on Atari 8-bit. Another interesting fact is that our graphic artist, Pic, was also a member of the Union group from the Amiga scene.
