Breakpoint 2003 was held at the Bundeswehrdepot in Bingen am Rhein in Germany by Farbrausch (pc), Pandemonium, Vacuum, Phantasm (amiga) and Padua (c64). It was the first ever Breakpoint event. The location had previously hosted Underground Conference 6.22. The 72 hour party had an entrance fee of 40 EUR. Even if this was the first instance of Breakpoint, it was widely regarded as the successor of the Mekka Symposium parties. Its staff were experienced party people previously involved with not only Mekka & Symposium, but also Evoke, Dialogos, Underground Conference and The Ultimate Meeting. Doj (guitar) and kb (vocals) performed a live music show.

Results based on results.txt from scene.org. They are presented here as they were in the file, with numbering directly following each other, and some major weirdness in the Wild category. Both csdb and Pouët mention a competition that is not the official results file; csdb refers to it as "C64 Fast Intro", while Pouët calls it "c64 256b" - we have gone with the former here.
