After 25 years it is time to say good bye - on December 15th, so two months from now, untergrund.net will be shutting down.

We will be contacting all of the 500+ user accounts by mail to check who is still "alive".

For some of the biggest sites like the Breakpoint one, chiptune.com, ADA etc should admins still be available we will be able to help migrate or find a custom solution on a fresh server of ours.

If you need such a custom solution for your site, please contact us before the end of October.

Sad news, indeed. But things have been going like this in the scene for a very long time now.. So, thank you Scamp for hosting defiance.untergrund.net and bsr.untergrund.net! I had to take both sites down back in 2018 due to the fuck up GDPR and European laws are, but had a good time writting and maintaining them! Really, hoping to return them at some other host one day, but for the time being other stuff have priority. I'm also very sad that ADA has to go away, as well, had some very fond memories when it was at its prime, but now what can you do if things have be like this from now on?

wayback machine has most of that data. some people are in talks to preserve snap images of the static sites and new solutions for the active sites that require dynamic things. meanwhile if you know of binaries that are only hosted at untergrund, now would be a good time to double check they are not yet on scene.org and upload there if they are missing and update the links etc.

wayback not solution: site has been hacked. People repair one a week.

According to Scamp (https://www.pouet.net/topic.php?which=9917&page=21#c591856) the service will not eventually close but moved to a new server! If that is true then Scamp count me in for both of my sites! :)
