I don't know the rules of the compos, but the main element of the picture, the face in the back is obviously a copy/wire of the Vampire the Masquerade (Redemption) cover. A game by Activision. http://i.imgur.com/zadGaQk.jpg

Seems a bit strange to compete with that, even if the logo itself, and the rest might be original work. Logo itself was released before the compo btw at deviantart, december 9.

For the record, I was the competition organizer at STNICCC and we just asked for previously unreleased compositions that can be displayed with a commonly available Atari ST painting program. So this picture was not breaking our rules as far as I'm aware.

Good. :) Then my comment can stay only as some info about the graphician's inspiration and use of motif.
