ROT was a diskmag that covered phreaking and blue boxes.
Prophecy was a hack/phreak group.
I am not sure if they merged or if ROT was absorbed into Prophecy.

You may have seen ROT released under the name of Prophecy...
Jabberwocky who runs Prophecy out of Canada will take ROT and courier it under the name of Prophecy (ROT is still ROT, just being couriered under a different name) Prophecy is another H/P (hack/phreaking) group just starting out, and will be merging with ROT very shortly.
