Some acronym listings of the era suggest The FiRM stands for First In Releasing Most, but this is not the case.

To all of you who think the FiRM stands for First In Releasing Most ... you're wrong . It doesn't mean anything and if you bleieved that then there's no Santa Claus and no Tooth Fairy.

The FiRM existed from 1989 to late 1992.

However in October 1993, the courier group SWaT decided to abandon this activity and become a game release group under the name FiRM (without the The prefix).

Group Notes: SWaT will no longer be a courier group. We will be releasing games, game updates, docs and trainers under the name of FiRM and apps & utils and that kind of stuff under the name of NUAA.
