Neon

(amiga/pc/warez) - NE

Neon was an Amiga and PC cracking and bbs group, active in 1994-1996.

In february 1994, members were Action, Beavis, Dangerman, Delta-X, Doc Trace, Goonie, Hector, Lobster, Murdoc, Rapid, The Prophet, Vascal and Viper.1 Between the 15th and 25th of march, Beastie appeared on the member list, while Vascal (and his bbs Break Away) disappeared.2 By april 7th, Dangerman and the bbs'es Desert Storm and Paradome had disappeared, while Cyclone, Idgie Threadoode and Mirage were new additions on the memberlist.3 By april 14th, Dangerman had reappeared and Rebelz of Darknezz was a new addition to the bbs list.4 On the 26th, they had added Count Zero (aka Stylez) and Madmax, as well as the boards Los Endos, The Tower and The Castle.56 On june 20th, they announced the news that their board The Castle which had recently joined was busted, that The Tower was no longer running for Neon.7 On july 5th, the memberlist showed Madmax was already gone while Sonic, Hook, Mr. Ron and Seahawk had joined.8 On july 6th, it was announced Elvin Nox had joined from Nexus.9 On 5 August it was announced that Joe Camel, Wretch (new US leader) and Shane had joined, that Hypnotic Zone was a new hq, and that Action, Beavis, Hook and Mirage were all kicked - additionally, Defjam, Heron, The Invisible, Raiser and Frodo had appeared on the memberlist.10 In september, it was announced that Capone/AFL and Tremors/2000AD had joined Neon, and that Southern Wasteland was a new HQ - additionally The Green Knight and Legion had appeared on the memberlist.11

In february 1995, members were Goonie, MDC^DTC (leaders), Heron, Hayman, The Artifex, Phenox, Stylez, Speed Devil, Stoker, Beastie, The Dirty Fucker (members), Capone and Nico (couriers) - while announcing The Dirty Fucker was a new member and them forming a Macintosh section.12 Between the 8th and tenth of february, O-Dog and Weakness appeared on the memberlist.13 On 13 February, it was announced Wildgans had joined the group.14 On 9 March, Amigo had appeared on the memberlist.15 On april 17, Snoop was announced as a new member - while also Jaset and Skyphos had appeared on the memberlist.16 Don was a new arrival on the memberlist in may.17 In June it was announced that N-Joy was dead, and that Black Hole, Don, The Prophet, Laser, The Champ, Cannibal, Picard, Trooper and Venom as well as the boards Top In, Trespass, Europes Chaos, House of Insanity, Mindloss, New Lost Carrier and Random Access had all joined Neon - and additionally Mighty J and Ghostwalker had appeared on the memberlist.18 At the end of August they welcomed Leecher to the group - and additionally Mess was also new on the memberlist.19 In september they welcomed Wild Van Damme with the bbs Darklands.20
