Topaz (aka Topaz Beerline) was a Finnish demo group, active for years on the c64 with much the same members before moving much of their operation onto the pc platform. The group is most known on the pc scene for releasing several issues of the diskmag Yahoo.
The end of december 1991 demo Graveyard Blues 2: Rhythmic Bones announced Kirk and Caprix (both residents of Herning, Denmark) were new members, and listed those two alongside Beat, d'Arc, HTD, Rolex and Scapegoat for a total of 7 members. The demo also announced Rebel had left the group to start something on his own, and the Doom had been dismissed from the group after a long period of inactivity.
Kirk and Caprix moved on to Oxyron in late may or early june of 1992.
It was reported in january 1993 that Calypso, previously with F4CG, joined Topaz.1
The group reportedly ended in february of 1995, after merging with Doomsday Productions and Mental Design under the new label @, though they later returned.
