2.
- Amazing art, even Cornflakesman/rC wouldn't be able to code this nice
piece. It's magic, it's like a moment of joy, it's .. it's.. undescribable.
But to brief you up I have to tell you about the story about THE RAU :
First there was nothing, from nothing was the Rau born. The Rau saw
starfield and Hindu as good, so he created them to roach the planet.
One day the evil Torus found them and thougt the the art of coding
3d-toruses. The Hindu now created really big 3d-scenes with toruses
and even sent one into The Rau. THE HINDU SAW THE RAU INSIDE, therefore
he had to be killed, so Rau chopped his head of with the Commando Libya
Destruction Machine(tm). Now, The Starfield had only one hope before
The Rau would kill him to. He had to create dennisc(tm)(c), and he did
by inverting the torus and make him into a roach-o-matic(tm), and from it
he made dennisc, which coded a cool STARFIELD. and The Rau could not
kill it. He created a Shadeb00b(tm) to protect The Starfield from killing
him. That's it.
- Gross.
- What the hell?
- sucks
- juk!
- yikes!
- pEINGEINNkREVEN iN nINETYsEVEN!
- uh.. ?

- When you're drunk, you see this as a normal starfield, NOW DID YOU THINK
ABOUT US DRUNKEN DUDES?!
- Interesting, but it seems like drunken snowflakes. :)
- Very funny idea :)
- Maybe a drunk 3d starfield would've been something, but this is just silly.
:)
- too much tequilla?
- easy

inopia:

- Toruses combined with starfields is a very very naughty mix, and that
should not also contain a scroller. THIS IS EXPLOSIVE. watch out. nice
maybe.
- Uhm...it looks like you really managed to sneak that in as a starfield. :)
- Good ideas. I like the dual starfield.
- Really keen coding, except.. ehm.. IT RAN AS SLOW AS MOLASSES ON A COLD DAY!
Maybe optimize it a bit or have it vary the resolution/3d star number depending
on cpu speed... seriously tho, I rate a production half on quality and half on
the speed of the scroller, and this scroller ran maybe 2 seconds per character.
But wow, to say I don't want to redo mine now that I've seen yours would be a
lie. =)
- cool!!!!!!
- Nice idea, but does it count as more than one effect? :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
cd:

- Normal sucky starfield with invisable 3d-cows. wow.
- Interesting..
- Nice horizonal thing, like phoenix's except without the craziness. Ehm. I'd
rate higher for silly messages or scrolling greets or something. =)
- You should have had more stars, and the X positions should have been randomly
chosen at the beginning.. Besides that, it's another fire routine ...
(comment: dude, they were chosen randomly at the beginning :)
- no! no fires again!!!! :)
- Umm.. needs to be slowed down a bit on faster machines, maybe? :)

- You really dig fading, dont you?
- I like this, because it's simply different.
- Nice idea. A bit slow.
- Would've rated it higher, I really liked the design, except your fading out took
forever. I waited a good 15 seconds from pressing escape before it even all
cleared up, and by then I had lost whatever admiration I had for the thing. The
starfield itself, you ask? Am I not nitpicking? Oh. Well it was elite.
- It's smooth and accurate, but a dull palette...
- more fire effects :(
- Nice blurring, a bit crowded though?
- Looks good, takes *way* to long to exit :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
phred:

- I really dig those turnaround thing.
- Impressive star amount, non-impressive field. :)
- That's a lot of stars.
- You're a coding god :) My only suggestion would be have something in there so
it doesn't do as many stars for a slower machine. But still, heh, wow. :D
- Nice (real) blur.. It's a shame it's not your FAST version :)
- wow! lots of stars and motion blur! :)
- Simple and sweet, brings me back to Crystal Dream 2 days. :)

assumed assassin:

- Ugh, are you a member of Spacepigs or something?
- Different, but not a spectacular different.
- Fast code. A bit hard to follow.
- Awesome. But for all that it was, would adding better colours than just red,
green, and blue have been too much to ask? Or psychotic 1970s palette-warping?
Heh, I ask too much. Good job.
- BAAAAAAAAAD Palette
- Fucked palette
- cool one :)
- Um, pretty, but doesn't look anything like a starfield on a fast PC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
axl:
3.25
- Different, but it runtime error'd when running it from the voter...ick.
- Where's the stars?
- Elite arrogant swedescene messages. Is there starfield inside of nothing?
Yes yes.
- Doesn't look like a starfield to me
- Hehe... Purple, Poems ...
- short! *GASP*
- kewlCOOL.

gooroo:

- Cool thing with those starsprites, but.. why that boring color?
- This is neat. :)
- Big stars.
- Better than cd's, not much else to say.
- Nice idea... don't like it though
- heh, no noise this time. It's a shame this is rather slow... More color next
time... If you had precalced the scaling steps, it would have been really cool.
- euh! nice one!!! :)
- A good idea to use sprites, but too big and slow for what it's worth.

- Someone said 1 effect, but.. hmm. maybe not. Cool going-through-jupiter-
effect. :>
- Not as good as a meteor field could be.
- I like the fire.
- Nice burning. I didn't know you were still around, either =)
- interesting, could have been better
- Use a tilable palette next time
- itchy fire :)
- More of a tunnel than a starfield. I don't get the point of the 2nd part.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
jcl:
6.5
- Uhm. Startunnel? chrmface.3ds-star? Ugh, perhaps not. Nice play with
the sinus formula after that though :).
- Does this beast ever end!? I wonder what flying in the tunnels would be like. :)
- Is it just me, or do those stars form strange patterns like faces and tunnels?
- Nice! Except it flickers like an old-time newsreel.
- Cool, if you sit down and watch it ;)
- Lame object (face).. Other than that, rather nice ... I'm glad you can exit now.
- Nice range of dot-based effects, almost a full demo :). I liked the fast
X-Y-Z rotation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
the ghost:
5.08
- I missed the "47238479274 stars"-sign.
- I liked this better when I saw inconexia.
- reminds me of inconexia...
(comment: was this a mindmeld or what? :)
- 11 fps.. well you sure beat most of those other entries :D Nice conventional
starfielding, weird trippy static effect, kinda looked like the stars were
moving back into the centre. If there's more than a first intro effect your
timing routines must suck because that starfield ran for over 5 minutes before I
got bored. :D
- Uh? Lotsa pixels... Not very original, just a boosted version of a starfield ..
- much like mine [Jcl]
- During the tunnel-like part it looked as though just stationary points were
being shaded. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
vector:
5.5
- Elite to use tunnel-mapping as a 3d-starfield base. :>
- Slow, but it's neat.
- motion blur gets a bit old but nice ideas
- "Jeesus man? Get your hands on a better computer or univbe"??
Get your hands on a better rating from me, because this one sure ain't
flattering. :D Making fun of my machine ain't the way to win my vote. And the
blurmotion was a lot slower than it is on your speed-thrashing super-multimedia
hauling crazed-speed-motorway-autobahn-vesa-compatible-multimedia-buck-buck-
dollar-buck-buck-dough computer. Gooroo's, cd's were nicer, and less annoying.
- I had Univbe installed, and it said I didn't, lame code ;)
- highcolor! Hurray! my favorite!
- cool hicolor effect :)
- Maybe it's just me, but this seemed WAY too dark. Colorful but needed to
show more and a little brighter. :)

WOW. this one got it all. I cant really descirbe it, it's so simple
but yet so cool.
I'm not sure if it's suppose to look like this... :)
relaxing to watch :)
Kinda looks like I'm watching rain fall, except without the water in the eyes :)
You and inopia are coding elites, even if one of you really is musician=) Rated
it 1 lower than I was tempted to on account of the jumpy, flickery feel.
musicians shouldn't code :)
euh.. didn't like this one too much :P
Nothing amazing.

ringlord:

- The colors and the mode are nice.
- Hmm... Looks clean.. QBASIC?
- Fweee.
