Yeah, here I go again ... I wanna present you a hard week's work: Starglider II. It was cracked on November 11th, 1988, the final version with intro and packed main program was assembled on Nov 14 at 1:15 pm. I had to write a new packing program, which took me 12 hours. The packing rate is about 80% with an amazing speed (you'll see). I'll work on the method, so in the next time a higher packing rate will be reached (about 50%-60%). When you're asked for a password (at the overall beginning), simply type ATARI and press RETURN ... The unavoidable greetin' stuff: Hi Maxwell (thanx for the original of SG2), Marc, Lutz, Markus, Mr. Hack, Stefan (I hope you've got some new original stuff for me !!!), Pino, Carsten, Sven, JW, LCG, Ralf, Thomas, Fischkopp, Fred and to all people who read the scrollers of each intro they get hoping to find their names in it. Imagine your name is here --> .......... If you can get the SG2 manual from somewhere, copy it. The novel is really great (even better than 'Hitchhicker's Guide' etc., I think) and you'll find some information in it concerning the game's issues. A little hint: Try to find a tunnel entrance/exit (look in 'Painting with Rolf' how it looks like, use ',' and '.' to scan thru the 103 objects) and enter it. In one of the depots your task will be described. A little note to this version of SG2: It runs, in contrast to the version of The Union with 50Hz and 60Hz, but this intro requires 50 Hz, so when you're running with 60Hz, it will change it to 50Hz and afterwards back to 60Hz. SG2 runs also on high-resolution. It requires 1MB of memory, so it doesn't run on 512KB machines (Sorry, Joerg). Now it's late and I've to go to bed now. The scroller is over, and the only thing you have to do is pressing one of those light grey buttons with dark grey drawings on them in front of you. I say CIAO ..........
