Mercenary (also known as Mercenary: Escape from Targ, Mercenary 1, and Mercenary: A Flight Simulator Adventure in the US) is the first game in the series. It was initially released on the Atari 8-bit family in 1985 and later converted to the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore Amiga and Commodore 16/116/Plus/4 platforms.
