This title has some history, originally released in 1981 as Gobbler by Olaf Lubeck as an unlicensed Pacman clone for On-Line Systems. Gobbler on Apple entered #19 of June's The Top Thirty by Softalk.
The Atari computer port was rewritten and greatly improved by John Harris, becoming JawBreaker and released in November 1981. Atari who owned the home rights to Pacman sued On-Line Systems, restricting all sales but later losing the case, settling and setting legal precedent for game intellectual property.
JawBreaker, seen here on the Apple, was back-ported by Olaf Lubeck. While it has ©1981, it is most likely from 1982. It was announced in Softalk May 1982 and entered the Softalk May 1982 Bestsellers chart. However, all the Pacman-clone games, Gobbler and JawBreaker, were eventually pulled by On-Line Systems.
