THE FIRST SCREEN: THE FIRST TIME THAT RASTERS ARE USED ALL OVER THE SCREEN ! (NOT LIKE IN THE FINAL-CUT FROM THE 42-CREW !) AND YOU ALL HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT IT'S THE FIRST TIME THAT DIGISOUND IS PLAYED WITH TWO-FOLD-OVERSAMPLING ON THE ST ! THAT MEANS,THE SOUND WAS SAMPLED WITH 8 KHZ AND IS NOW PLAYED WITH 16 KHZ. (WITH A TRICK !) NEXT TIME IT WILL BE FOUR-FOLD-OVERSAMPLING !! (LIKE IN A CD-PLAYER !) PERHAPS,THEN WE ARE ABLE TO PLAY DIGI-SOUND LIKE THE AMIGA ! THE WHOLE SCREEN SCROLLS IN ALL DIRECTIONS WITH 4 PLANES ! (SORRY,ONLY 195 SCANLINES ARE SCROLLED, BECAUSE OF THE WARHAWK-SOUND) FIFTH SCREEN: A LITTLE PRIMITIVE 2-PLAYER-GAME (PRESS -ESC- TO RESTART !) THE DIGISOUND IS REALLY NICE ISN'T IT ? SIXTH SCREEN: IT USES THE SAME TRICK LIKE THE ANTIC-PAINTER. BUT HERE THE ROUTINE DOESN'T NEED 10 CMP'S ,20 BRANCHES AND 100 MOVES , IT ONLY NEEDS 2 (IN LETTERS: T W O !) INSTRUCTIONS ! (7 KB) THEN JOERG (A GOOD FRIEND , HE'S ALSO A PROGRAMMER) TRIED TO MAKE A SOUND-DIGITIZER, BUT ALL WE HEARD WAS AN UGLY NOISE DESTROYING OUR MONITOR-LOUDSPEAKER. IN ONE SENTENCE - IT WAS U G L Y ! SO HEXOGEN DECIDED TO MAKE HIS OWN LUCK -> ALL WE HEARD WAS AN UGLY NOISE TOO .... THROWING THE DIGITIZER TO THE WALL HEXOGEN RECOGNIZED THAT THE CABLES TO THE CENTRONICSPORT OF THE ST WERE SOLDERED IN THE MIRRORED ORDER !!! ARRRRGH ! 5 MINUTES LATER WE HEARD FOR THE FIRST TIME DIGISOUND OUT OF THE MONITOR-LOUDSPEAKER ! BUT ONLY 10 PER CENT OF THE NOISE WERE MUSIC , THE REST WAS SOMETHING UNDEFINABLE ... SO WE TRIED OUR LUCK WITH AN OPERATION-AMPLIFIER , THE "CA 3140" . BUT ONLY TOUCHING THE DIGITIZER THIS IC GAVE UP HIS GHOST ! (HAMM) SO WE LEFT OUT THIS IC AND TOOK A LITTLE ELKO (ONLY 100 MF). FROM THIS TIME ON WE WERE PROUDLY OWNERS OF A ST WITH A DIGITIZER ... BUT THE SAMPLER-SOFTWARE HEXOGEN HAS WRITTEN WAS ABSOLUTELY SHIT. (NO GEM) SO HEXOGEN BEGAN TO WRITE HIS FIRST PROGRAMM INCLUDING GEM. -> THE DJ-SOUNDSAMPLER V 2.0 NOW WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE NICE MIXES LIKE "CONTI-MIX" OR "LUCIFER-REMIX 87" AND "CONTIMIX-1" ..... WITH THE TIME HEXOGEN FOUND OUT THAT DIGI-SOUND-DEMOS WITHOUT GRAPHIX ARE ABSOLUTE BORING. IN THE SUMMER 87 CSS MADE A SUMMER-CONVENTION. SO WE DECIDED TO CRACK "BARBARIAN". IT TOOK US 3 DAYS (2 LONG NIGHTS) TO DO IT. AND SUDDENLY WE WERE READY ! FULL OF SO MUCH LUCKINESS SAMPLEMASTER RIDING ON HIS BIKE DIDN'T SEE A WIRE-FENCE ..... CRASH !! SAMPLEMASTER FLEW ABOUT 2 METRES OVER THE FENCE , LEAVING HIS RIGHT SHOE IN THE MUSH. THE BACK-WHEEL LOOKED LIKE A "L" ! HAW HAW HAW HAW !!!! HEXOGEN WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO KEEP NOT LAUGHING HAW HAW HAW !!!! ..... WHAT WE NOW NEEDED WAS A NAME FOR US TWO GUYS ... WE DECIDED TO TAKE THE NAME TNT-CREW (TAKING NEW TECHNOLOGIES) @@@@@@@@@@@@@ AS HEXOGEN IS A FAN OF EXPLOSIVE THINGS , HE GOT HIS NAME. (HEXOGEN IS THE STRONGEST CHEMICAL EXPLOSIVE) AND SAMPLEMASTER GOT HIS NAME AS HE LOVES SAMPLING MUSIC ......... WITH THIS DOUBLE-SIDED BARBARIAN-DISK WE WERE INVITED TO COME TO THE CSS-PARTY ! THEREFORE WE MADE THE FIRST @DEMO ! (BET YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT !) SOME WEEKS LATER WE CRACKED "AIRBALL" , EXTENDED WITH A LITTLE INTRO ! (DIGISOUND+SCROLLING+CARS DRIVING ON A STREET) SINCE THEN WE GOT NO MORE ORIGINALS , SO WE STARTED TO MAKE LITTLE DEMOS. (AFTER WE HAVE SEEN THE NICE TEX-DEMOS ; IN THE THIRD THEY SAID THAT THEY'LL ONLY WRITE ONE AGAIN IF THERE'S A BETTER ONE) AND WE SAW THESE BORING DEMOS ON THE AMIGA (SCROLLINE+PICTURE+DIGISOUND) SO WE MADE THE "LOVESPY-DEMO" , PERHAPS ONE OF THE BEST DEMOS ON THE ST ! THEN THE THIRD DEMO WAS STARTED (HEXOGEN ENJOYED IT MORE THAN THE SECOND) YOU KNOW , THIS WITH THE BIGGEST SCROLLINE EVER MADE ON A HOME-COMPUTER YET ! (100 SCANLINES,SCROLLED WITH 8 PIXELS PER 1/50 SECOND!) IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER WITHOUT THESE COMPUTERS WHO DISPLAYS THE SCREENS 10 SCANLINES EARLIER ! ( PERHAPS 30% OF ALL ST'S) THE FOURTH DEMO WAS A FLOP WITH THIS TRASH-SOUND (THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE ROBOTER,HEXOGEN NEEDED 2 DAYS) OH ! SAMPLEMASTER SAYS AT THE MOMENT : "HOEOH HOEH ! DEIN ROBOTER !! DER SOUND ISSES !" OUTCH ! AARRRGH! WUFF ! BOMM ='3RLL,V.,ML-MLKJ0E9 PUUH ! NO ONE OF THOSE CONFLICTS MORE ! THE POOR KEYBOARD ! THEN IN THE WINTER 87 WE WERE INVITED BY THE 42-CREW. SO WE MADE THE 5TH DEMO IN TWO LONG DAYS. WE WERE READY AT 5'O CLOCK IN THE MORNING AT THE SAME DAY AS WE WERE INVITED BY THE 42-CREW. TWO HOURS SLEEP WEREN'T ENOUGH TO KEEP AWAKE THIS DAY,BUT IT WAS REALLY INTERESTING AS WE MET THE EXCEPTIONS,SOME OF THESE GUYS WHO ARE ABSOLUTE ST-EXPERTS ! (HOPE YOU'RE COMING TO OUR PARTY !) THE DAY AFTER THE IDEA OF THIS LARGE FNIL-DEMO WAS BORN,AS WE ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE A DEMO WHO IS NOT LIKE THESE OTHER T H R E E--DAYS--DEMOS OF US ! AND HERE IT IS -- THE "FNIL-DEMO" ! IT TOOK A LOT OF WEEKS TO WRITE IT. AND WITHOUT THIS UGLY SCHOOL THE DEMO WOULD HAVE BEEN READY MUCH EARLIER AND WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER ! BUT AS WE ARE NOT OWNER OF A GOOD GRAPHIX-MAN,OUR DEMO'S WILL NEVER GET BETTER LIKE THIS ! THIS DEMO IS THE LAST FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS, AS WE'RE WORKING ON OUR GAME (IT WILL BE THE BEST ON THE ST !) AND THE SCHOOL-NOTES ARE GOING DOWN AND DOWN. AND IT MAKES MUCH MORE FUN TO WRITE A GAME THAN A DEMO (BECAUSE IT MAKES MONEY !!!) NOW SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROGRAMS WE WANT TO DEVELOP: THE FIRST WILL BE A SHOOT'EM UP GAME WITH SCROLLING IN ALL DIRECTIONS . YOU SEE RIGHT: SCROLLING IN A L L D I R E C T I O N S (BETTER AS IN THE FOURTH SCREEN). THE SECOND GAME WE CAN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT WILL BE ONLY IN OUR MIND. BUT IN SPITE OF THAT WE DIVULGE A LITTLE BIT: YOU'RE IN SPACE ... IN THE GAME THE SPACE IS ONE GALAXY. YOUR MISSION IS TO FIND THE EARTH.IT'S LIKE -" GALACTICA "- !! YOU CAN MAKE TRADE WITH A LOT OF ALIENS BUT BEWARE OF THE 'CYLONS', WHO WANTS TO DESTROY THE HUMAN RACE ... THE ACTION-SOUND IN THE GAME WILL BE 3-BIT DIGISOUND. BUT NOT ONLY ONE CHANNEL - THREE CHANNELS AT THE SAME TIME ! ... THE VEKTOR-GRAPHIX WILL BE BETTER THAN BEST -- BETTER THAN 'STARGLIDER' FLYING IN THE ATMOSPHERE OF A PLANET YOU'LL SEE BETTER GRAPHIX THAN IN 'FLIGHT II' ( A FASTER ONE ) THE PROGRAM WILL BE MADE BY JOERG AND HEXOGEN ... JOERG ALSO PROGRAMS A 3375 COLORS PAINTING PROGRAM ..... YOU SEE NEARLY NO FLICKERING ON THE SCREEN !!!!! (READY EARLIEST IN .MAY. BECAUSE JOERG IS IN THE ARMY NOW) SO LONG BODY AND SHAPES .
