Impulse was a Hungary-based Amiga demo group, born in october 1992 on the initiative of Mr. Pixel, on the ashes of Fi-Re Crew. Among the first members were also EFT and Rendall. Their first two productions were both released in december of that year, "First Intro" (at Bash 3) and "Welcome Intro".
In 1993, new members joined in Norway, Sweden, UK, Italy, Spain and Austria. A few intros were released, but all other divisions soon became inactive, and by the end of 1994, they were all gone. Their first non-intro production was released at the Southern Party 1993 in july - a party that Impulse co-organized - the combined slideshow and musicdisk Art & Go. A year of silence followed, before Mr.Pixel, the only remaining original member, put together the Hungarian-only configuration that would be the crew until their death in 1997. The only production that was released in 1994 was the file demo Designless Preview at Cache 1993 in March. Chippy Town 1 (september 1993) reported Botcher changed his handle to Gato.
They released Scenest Invitation in march of 1995 as an invitation to Scenest 1995 (for which they were coorganizers), and that was all that got released that year. The party itself was held in may. They worked hard, trying to complete their next demo for The Party 1995, but in the end it proved impossible. After the disappointment of not being able to release it for The Party, they simply released Voyage In Storm anyway in january, out of party. The demo was a huge success, but not as big as their second demo of the year, Muscles at the Intel Outside 3 party at the very end of august! An enclosed news file for the demo announced that Gato had joined, that Beast had joined from Majic 12 and that Psycho (sysop) and S.L.O (raytrace) were kicked.
The group released Kenguru 64K Intro at the very end of march at Mekka Symposium 1997. They co-arranged Scenest 1997 in april, releasing their final intro Kenguru v2.0 there, before breaking up. Reasons were many, but among them were Rendall's leaving for Mystic, and Mr.Pixel, Gato, S.L.O and Norby's inactivity on the Amiga. EFT, Beast, Soldier and Lord formed a new group called Kangooroo.
Having not made any releases since 1997, this group is considered disbanded.
