Eagle Soft Incorporated was a C64 and Amiga cracking group, active in 1982-1992.
The group was formed in Canada in 1982 by three friends called Dan, Jason and a student, originally from Singapore. This last person became the groups' first cracker. During their early years, the group recruited American Mitch who would do more cracking. Eventually the three original members dropped out, and Mitch ran the group from then, as a purely American group. One of his first recruits was By-Tor, who took over a lot of the management leaving Mitch to concentrate on cracking.1
By-Tor in succession then recruited Scorpio in 1986, who was a local to him.1 In September members were listed as By-Tor, Scorpio and 'Me' - presumably Mitch.2. In December they announced The Head Librarian as their newest member.3
Members in June 1987 were Mitch, John, Bob, Jack, Fred, Carol, Eagle Soft, The Head Librarian, Captain Kidd, The Necromatic, By-Tor and Scorpio.4 In July they welcomed Kombalar as a new member.5 The group SOHO supplied a number of originals during this year.
In December 1988 reports said the group was starting on the Amiga, and their first release would be Dragon's Lair.6
