Grey and Phil are brothers.

In Color Sphere (1989) it is mentioned "you probably remember alias joining us not so long ago (to be our games cracker) well he's decided he doesn't really want to be in a group so he's left us" and Grey goes on further to say "i remember the good (?) old days on the commodore sixty four when i was part of fusion along with phil and mark (casual dude)", confirming those people are the same.
