The second edition of Cookie took place in Paris on 8-9 December and was a bigger event than the first one with a good amount of releases over all the categories. Let's hope for another edition next year.

Due to a broken raid controller, several demoscene sites are currently down. The operators are currently working on sourcing a replacement, so they can rebuild the raid and get things back online.
Affected sites are:
SceneSat (website and radio)
reLive
BitJam Radio
AmigaRemix
RKO
And several other hosted sites as well.
We'll update this news item with any new information as soon as we know more.
EDIT: Modland is now back up.
SceneSat is also back running on a temporary
machine until things are completely fixed.
It's December but the warm winds from southern Spain are bringing us the releases from this Amiga retrogaming/demoscene event that took place in Málaga just over a week ago. There's something for everyone and in particular some very nice new games.
The 10th edition of Syntax took place over last weekend in Melbourne, Australia. Click below and have a look at the many entries (we're still missing a few, please get in touch if you have them) and the full results.
Vortex took place last weekend in Tampere, Finland. Results and files are now available, except for a couple of releases that are being finalized right now.
Alchimie has been a regular event in France for the past 16 years or so. Originally an Amiga-only event, it has lately opened itself to other oldschool and alternative platforms. This year the Amstrad CPC+ pretty much stole the show with two demos that redefined what's possible on that hardware. Click below for the whole story:
Demosplash took place last weekend at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA and the results and releases are now in. This time there were some very impressive releases in the ANSI/ASCII competition. It's always good to see demosceners active across the Atlantic, more of this please!
Somewhat unexpectedly (but after enough nagging) Syntax 2016 files have finally found their way from down under to scene.org and Demozoo. A few releases are still missing so as usual, if you happen to have them in your possession, please get in touch.
Plenty of impressive oldschool releases at that Polish demoparty combined with a retrogaming event. And there's something for everyone: ZX Spectrum, Sam Coupé, C64, Amiga (old and new) with a hint of Game Boy and Megadrive. A couple of Amiga releases are still missing as well as most of the Gamedev entries, so we'll keep our eyes open.
