The THX Irc Compo 2 was an online music competition for tunes in the THX format only. All resulting tunes were gathered in the music compilation Klub Diznee III - 1541 Bytes Are Enough For Every Musician in may 1997. The readme-file for that production says it was put together in two evenings after the compo, making it highly probable that the compo itself was also held in may.

Unlike the last edition, the production for this one did not come with a ranked results, and the production itself gives little hint too - so we've had to assume the tunes were ranked as they were presented on the musicdisk.
