GC25 Proved to be a very popular groovy comp with 19 entries all up. Unfortunately 4 people did not vote which isn't too bad. A pity since one got a fairly good score, well, that's the penalty for not voting, you don't get your score or feedback. The samples consisted of Techno/Bizzare/D&B samples but entrants could enter any style they liked.

• Yes, it was cheesy. And yes, I had to listen to it non-interpolated with 16-bit mixing in mono on my puny machine. And yes, you did not really ask me if it was cheesy and if I had to turn down the quality. What I liked about this song was that it made very nice use of the limited compo samples. While many tunes sounded forced into using the samples (much like GMIDI songs do), this one did not. The chord changes were nicely done, and even though this isn't probably the first time with these specific chords, it was still almost breathtaking when I listened. The other entries (besides mine, which I cannot honestly comment on) seem bland by comparison, and I'm not just judging them on a scale of how much they make my butt shake (though this song accomplished that nicely too).
• Undersleeper (under.it) by ZonaR is a great tune. The flow of the piece is excellent, and the energy level is right up there for the entire duration of the song and the use of the samples is good. Although 50+ channels might be classed as a little too excessive. Another good this about this tune is that it doesn't overkill an idea, which is I feel is important to making a great piece of music, but all that ideas and variations blend together well to create the track. Also I am a bit of a sucker for Old School Euro.
• Besides being a full song, Undersleeper made great use of the instruments, balancing out the bass with the highs. The tones in back of the leads fill out the empty spaces nicely without becoming muddled or taking away from the melody. The beat is simple and steady and transitions are pretty smooth. The Groove Lab and Copy/Paste also ranked up there, but Undersleeper just seemed to have more character to it.
• The Song Was Super Intricate and had no overramping. It was clear(even though the samples). It had a lot of feel. It Just kept pumping out cool tunes. Keep Groovin cool tunes like this one.
• Well done Zonar, your piece was the best played loud. Great beat and tunes. The sample pack was made for this one. No complaints, no complaints at all.
• i picked "under" for 1st place cause it just rulz! i love its elwood dancy melodic style...this is defintly the best tune out of the pack! it is also preat well tracked and mixed preaty good!(:
• very well constructed, the structure it´s perfect, technique it´s very good. This song reminds me that old techno songs. I like it a lot :)

• catchy and rememberable hookline, well combined samples, clearly defined style - that is stuff winning competition tunes are made of... and so is this one. the only song of this contest to find a warm place private module collection.

• Actually this Song seems to have the best mixing, plus it´s well composed. The only Song where i could not find any major weakness. Congrats.

• Exciting track with cool use of samples. Nice job!

• I could see that "asteroid dance 1" had a lot of potential. Unfortunately marks were deducted for incompleteness. "Groove Lab" was well tracked, it flowed... IMO, it had taken too much inspiration from other tracks. Mild's entry started off very well, but at orders 8-11 and 16-20 and had a rather ugly sound to it. I would have stuck with the original chord progression, which in my opinion would have suited this piece more. Viento was good, it was well structured. I found the leads were not easily heard. "undersleeper" was the one that stuck in my mind... it made good use of envelopes and effects, without sounding too overdone. I found the vocal sample a nice addition. The leads flowed nicely too. copypastecopypaste was cool, the sample set suited the style so well. It took too long to find a melody and a theme. I gave low scores mostly for poor tracking ability. Several songs were clever, and could see where they were heading, but I found they were limited by the composers tracking ability, or the time limit.
• Nice. Feels kinda spacy... A little too short maybe.

• Not much to say... I choosed the tune which I feel was the more inspired of the bunch. It isn't original at all or 'well-tracked' in the technical sense, but it sounded better to me. (groovier?) I have to say I would have ranked (pro-vnto.it) really higher if it was not as protocol says, just a 'sketch'.

• copypastecopypaste, a bit of a stretched buildup to a nice sounding demostyle-tune. Nice sinejingles working great with strings. All in all a good tune.
