Soldiers Of Fortune Cracktro (Razor Cracktro #18)

by Razor 1911

The following text was taken from the video description of the YouTube video written by Hetero and translated into English accordingly:

This intro required significant effort at the time. Out of a passion for nostalgia, the 320x240 video mode was chosen, with 32-bit depth finally allowing for rich transparency and transition effects. The intro was programmed in Assembler, with all effects hardcoded. This means transitions, color gradients, rotations, and shadows were calculated manually without using any DirectX functions.

At the center of the intro is the large Razor 1911 logo (which also contributes to the file size), with rotating, phong-shaded gears overlapping in the background. These gears were previously featured in an older intro for the group Prestige. As a tribute to the Amiga, a rotating 68000 CPU is displayed in the top right. As a 'secret key', you can try pressing the spacebar during the intro.

Coding Language: Turbo Assembler
Video Mode: 320 x 240 x 32
Sound System: uFMOD
Sound Support: DirectX
