From Mini-Tool Collection; "'jap' is an abbreviation and it stands for 'just a packer'. this packer is ment to be used with the freezer of action replay cartridge. the packer/depacker routines are similar to those used in 'the packer v2' (so it is also an 8-cbyte packer). here i will write how to start this program and how to deal with some details... but first: what is this packer for? it is made for situations like that: you load several files from disk (eg. the parts of a program, like code, gfx, msx etc.) then you don't have to save all this on the disk to pack it with a packer. then you just freeze the whole thing, load this packer, set start/end of the area to pack and some other parameters. after packing you save the file to disk... yes, I know, that you may use any linker the parts of the prog, but anyway... ok, how to load this packer.
1. freeze the program
2. choose p (parameters) from the freezer menu
3. enter name "e.jap v2.0" (this "e." is important!)
4. when the packer is started, use crsr-keys to move through opetions and return to select.
when you enter the "end address" remember to set it 1 byte after the last byte you want to pack. so if you want to pack $f000-$ffff (including $ffff), set start to $f000 and end to $0000. understand?"
