Starting the cracktro in an emulator does not display the cracktro itself. Instead, it shows a screen from the game that typically appears when you confirm the cracktro. However, the cracktro functions properly on genuine PlayStation hardware, I tested it on a Sony PlayStation SCPH-1002 PAL console.
