In an interview with NTM #3 Hot Tuna states he is from the Midlands and started trading floppies in 1988. But didn't become a UK retail supplier until 1992, after reading an job ad on a BBS for The Dream Team. After being kicked from the group for being too slow, he joined Paradox on the Amiga.

After Paradox died, he joined Nexus who immediately merged into Razor 1911.

Interestingly, he was quite open about creating CD-ROMs of pirated software and selling them to the general public using UK computer trade newspapers.

Hot Tuna appeared on the Paradox memberlist between December 1998 and June of 1999.
