Amiex or /X refers to the Amiexpress BBS software for the Amiga. It was originally written by Michael Thomas from Synthetic Technologies from 1989 until 1991, when it was sold to Joseph Hodge who continuted development for LightSpeed Technologies Inc. from 1992 until 1995. From 2018 on, it is developed further by Darren Coles with permission from Joseph Hodge.
This BBS carried Amiga releases and/or was part of the Amiga scene. Please note that it does not automatically mean that the BBS ran on an Amiga.
This tag describes bbs'es that were not open 24 hours a day on a dedicated line, but only during the nighttime. This was usually since the line was shared with other users who were using it for voice during the daytime.
