Cool motive and magnificient palette, so this is a great picture.
I'm just not sold on this kind of weirdly coarse needless dithering, and why you choose to use 15 colors, and not 32. (15 colors because one palette entry is even duplicate.) If the palette would be using an AtariST's 9 bit colors, it would make more sense to me to restrict yourself to 4 bitplanes...
