The Special Brothers were a German-based Amiga demo and cracking group, formed by TCA (The Commodore Ace), Electrica and MLP Artworx (music) in 1987. The group got more serious with the joining of Alloc (code) in 1988.
Cracker Journal 19 (march 1990) reported that EIO and GTS had joined the group. It further featured a swapper advert, listing an address in Stadthagen, Germany. The group were interviewed for Cracker Journal 20 (may 1990).
The Official Board Dentro was released in september 1991, announcing their finnish musician Stargazer had left the group for Equinox (also reported in R.A.W 1). The december release Contro announced they had kicked Codey, that Fluid Neon, MC Man and DJ Magic were new members in Germany, that H.V.H left with his board Bird of Prey, and that the Swiss section of the group closed down leaving the boards Black Roses (Steve) and The Legend BBS (Remote) independent. Fooling Around released in december at the Iris New Year Conference introduced Zyriax as "our new coder."
The february 1992 diskmagazine R.A.W 2 reported that Newmarh, Thufir and Havat of Rebels joined. Maggy 12 (june 1992) reported, "The Special Brothers SF is dead, all members joined better groups... (Whiplash (Ex-Commie) joined Frantic SF, Cruzifix joined Dual Crew and Stargazer joined Stellar)" and followed up with "The Special Brothers England, Switzerland and some members of TSB Norway and France have left to join other groups!"
Nevermind 3 (march 1993) reported Scampy left The Special Brothers for Vanish. Chippy Town 1 (september 1993) reported that Vodka had been dismissed from Digital, but had instead joined The Special Brothers.
