Magic Artpack (01/1994) (january 1994) provided a history of the group; "MAGiC was originally the creation of RAiSTLiN and XAXiSiAN in the spring of 1993. For a short while, the group ran under the name KHAOS. However, MAGiC was eventually derived and a group was born. Starting off with no BBS to site out of, and only two members, MAGiC soon began to grow. About a month or two after the group began, RAiSTLiN started his BBS Towers Of High Sorcery. From there, MAGiC had a place to begin distribution of its ANSi packs, and to recruit new members. We showed up on ITC_ANSI and ITC_BBSAD and from there, we recruited new members and distribution sites. Among these are: ACiDBATH, Bardsman, Disruptor, Darkstar, Dalamar, Echo, Hoaks, Ms. Jewels and Vexity. We also recruited from our local area, among these were Snowcat, Johnny, Doc Savage, Cactus, Don Juan, and so on." The pack went on to list RAiSTLiN, XAXiSiAN, Acidbath (artist), Bardsman (artist), Black Acid (artist), Burton Air Man (courier), Cactus (artist), Dalamar Do'Urden (courier), Dark Reaper (courier), Disruptor (courier), Doc Savage (courier), Echo (artist), Hellbastard (artist), Hoaks (artist), iCE Breaker (senior), Joe Fractal (artist), Johnny (courier), Ms. Jewels (courier), Night Watchmen (courier), Quadzilla (courier), SiDS (courier), Snowcat (courier) and Vexity (courier) as members at that time.
