E.T. / A.E.K. Crackware Essen 2099 | 1987 |
AEK were an early C64 cracking group based in Essen, West Germany, active between 1985 and 1987.
In October 1996, a PC crack was released under the group name, yet it is unknown whether it was done by imposters or by former members of the C64 group.
The presumed june 1986 release Ghosts'n Goblins + wrote in its scroller, "GREETINGS TO OUR NEW MEMBERS LOOK AND OHC." The presumed july release Mission Elevator listed listed Airwolf, E.T., Kong, Look, The Reprotector (aka TRP), Redy Red, Odie and Mad Crack. The presumed september release Look's Sounddemo No. 2 listed The Enigma Man, Garfield and The Freak in addition, while OHC and Mad Crack was gone. The presumed november release, The Music of BMX Simulator featured a new member status, revealing The Enigma Man and The Freak were gone since september, while Warlock was a new addition to the list.
The Official Arkanoid Demo in june 1987 gave a group status; "also you'll wonder why we only made some few programs, so that most of you thought that we should be dead...but the reason is that we are programming a really fresh game, which will be released in some month. so pleeeaase don't talk so much shit about us 'cause we'll never die !!! also are there some guys of aek on the amiga, so you see we won't really stop working. and there will be released some more proggys by the great aek crackware team...watch out !"
