Without telling us, those sneaky people organizing 7DX held a 2013 edition in the middle of december, with a number of tasty releases. Thanks to one of our irc users (hi wysiwtf!) for pointing it out, so we could take action.

Results are already in, and results.txt has been uploaded to scene.org - now everyone go fill in info, add screenshots and awesomeify it.

Fujiology Archive V1.0 is OUT!

01 Jan 2014

TSCC is extremely proud to present you the biggest Atari Demo Scene archive there is... entitled: Fujiology. Based on the ashes of the No Fragments CD-series we gathered together as many Atari Scene releases we could find. The archive was compiled by Lotek Style mostly during 2013.

The archive features 4 sections. The main section features releases for the Atari ST (11.280 Files). Then there are bonus sections for TT (16 Files), MAGS (3.021 Files), JAGUAR (471 Files) and FALCON (1.247 Files). Further sections are planned to be included in future updates.

The archive can be downloaded or browsed at http://fujiology.untergrund.net - and every production is already in Demozoo!

Atari FTW.

libopenmpt released

31 Dec 2013

libopenmpt is a BSD-3-clause-licensed, cross-platform C and C++ module playback library. It is based on the player code of the Open ModPlug Tracker project.

Since libmodplug, which is based on an earlier version of the original ModPlug code base, had been released, the code bases of other ModPlug descendants (most notably Schism Tracker and Open ModPlug Tracker) had diverged significantly from the libmodplug code base. libmodplug did, in our opinion, not maintain pace all that well - especially regarding playback accuracy in corner cases. libopenmpt is now here to fill this gap. Get more information at the libopenmpt website at lib.openmpt.org.

Demobox - HTPC for the demoscene!

28 Dec 2013

At tUM this evening, LNX released - and open-sourced - Demobox, a HTPC application with a demoscene twist. In their own words; "Demobox is an application to run on your living room computer. It allows to run demos straight from your couch, bypassing launcher windows if there are any. And of course, you can watch videos or listen to music :)"

So, head on over to Demobox right here on Demozoo, or to the GitHub page to have a look at the source.

Update: For now, only the source code is available, but Xtrium tells us binaries will be provided very soon!
