Four of the competitions, Pixel Art, Textmode Art, TG Story and 2D Screenshot were popup competitions announced on the Thursday during the party and these has their deadline Saturday 20:00. These were without big prizes and award show, but all winners got a certificate of recognition in the same style as the other competitions, some TG merchandise, and for two of the competitions, merchandise from Red Bull.

These were held to try out new things and to give participants at the party something to do during the party since some of the competitions had deadlines on Thursday. There were plans to have a small prize show and competition tutorials, but due to other competitions and an influenza infection, I had to drop this. I organized all four popups, demo, useless and helped around a bit on a few others, and had to prioritize that.

The competitions got only positive feedback, and many of them had more participants than some of the big pre-announced competitions. Me and another non-competing participant was the jury in the story competition. The original plan was to get someone from the editorial crew to be the jury, but time constraints made this impossible. I had also planned to have a small code golf competition, but I did not have the time and energy to create code for it.
