New Wave was a Norwegian-based Amiga demo group, active from late 1989 until they were declared disbanded in early 1992. There is no relation between this group and the c64 group of the same name, active around 1987.
New Wave released the diskmagazine R.A.W 1 in cooperation with Pure Metal Coders in november of 1991, and several pieces of group news were reported inside; the group had recruited Cyberbit (sysop Light Years), Lion (modem trader), Kingpin (swap), Bold Eagle (sysop The Abyzz) and Master Copy (sysop Dawns End). It also reported that Hunter, who had previously joined the group from No Limits, had returned to his old group, and that Dr. M left for Celtic. It finally reported that the group had not joined up with Shining, likely to retort some rumour to that effect.
R.A.W 2 (february 1992) reported the joining of Stormbringer (sysop of Dreamland, old handle Master of Noise) and Chainsaw in Finland; Princip opening the bbs Interchange, Gadget's joining from Cytax; Gadget's quick handle change to Logic and subsequent leaving once again, this time for Noxious; the joining of Inter City Squad and Pitcher and finally that Bold Eagle's board The Abyzz was taken down due to personal problems, and that he was considering leaving the scene altogether. Kingpin, Comajim and Wimme left for Offence sometime between february and july. Maggy 12 (june 1992) reported, "Flesh (ex Damage) joined New Wave". He moved on to Majic 12 later that same year.
