Sphinx was a Dutch- and Swedish-based C64 demo and cracking group, formed in may of 1988 by breakout members from the group Science 451. The original member roster was Hightech, Judge, Karl XII, The Leader, Galleon, Gaunt, Syncro, The Bright Lion and Captain Rock - all former members of S451. Radius was another former member of S451 that joined up down the road.

The Times #1 (november 1989) reported "MIKE AND REBEL FROM DYNAMIX JOINED SPHINX."

The group disbanded in 1990.
