Ikari was an English-based c64 cracking group, formed in july of 1987 by Pal and Ultima. Other early joinings included Nik.
Mid to late 1988, most members of the Danish group Jewels - Doc, Fletch, Excell and Gandalf - reinforced Ikari. The group cooperated with Public Enemy on at least one crack in may or june. Nik decided to STOP cracking in september, since he felt the current cracking scene, with its focus on fast releases, didn't leave time for crackers to do quality cracks. He would continue in Ikari, though, concentrating on demos.
English cracker Tri-Dos left for DCS, likely very early 1989 - he was still a member in january. Ikari and Talent opened their cooperation late 1989 - likely november or december. At the time it started, the only members were Doc, Fletch, Excell (denmark) and Just Ice (england) from Ikari, and Bod and XXX (england) from Talent. Their american board THE ADDICTION was carried over into I+T.
Excell left the group around january 1991 after having problems with Bod/Talent. Doc and Fletch left the group some time later, and all three joined Legend. The may 1991 diskmagazine Shock 1 reported that RCS from Bonzai had joined Ikari.
