To celebrate the best tiny intro productions, we'll be awarding the top productions of 2021 on February 11th, 2022 at the Lovebyte 2022 Demoparty. The nomination process for the Nano Awards will run from December 1st, 2021 until January 1st, 2022, and you can nominate your favourite intros here on Demozoo. The nominated intros can range from as little as 32 bytes all the way up to 512 byte productions across a wide range of platforms. Nominees will be announced here on January 1st, 2022.

11 years of Demosplash! This time again with releases for multiple platforms running on real hardware during the compos. It is also the 1st time that demosplash offered a size constrained compo for productions up to 1k. The entries are just a few clicks away, so check them out!

Assembly Creative Tech 2021 was a special event held at The Finnish National Opera in Helsinki which aimed at exploring "how art and technology collide" – which sounds like a pretty good definition for the demoscene to us. And demoscene there was, as you can see for yourself with the results and releases that have been dutifully listed.

Long-running Portuguese event Inércia took place at the end of October in Lisbon and the results and the lovely releases are now in! This year Inércia also celebrated its 20th anniversary – well done guys and girls!

A mini TRSAC took place online last weekend before hopefully a full-fledged version next year. The results and releases are now available and contain a good amount of aciiiiiid!

Lovebyte, the online event dedicated to tiny releases and fantasy consoles, had its second event in a year last weekend: Lovebyte Battlegrounds! Take a look if TIC-80 and Pico-8 are the sort of things that tickle your fancy.

Here at Demozoo, we're all about making sure demoscene history is preserved, for future generations to enjoy and study. We do this in a variety of ways, by finding old software around the internet and making sure it is properly stored, mirrored and available for all.

Perhaps even more importantly, a few community members make it their passion to dump old media - and there's a crapton of stuff missing from the annals of history on all platforms. So, we are forever searching for materials to dump, scan and make available - from floppy disks, harddisks, zip disks, tapes and even disk covers and swapping letters.

We're dedicating the coming weekend to this endeavour, and hope to be sharing some of our enthusiasm and perhaps find some lost gems. We'll be hanging out in #diskdumping on our Discord server and perhaps a few of us will also be streaming some actual dumping? Drop in, hang out, and let's see if we can't help each other make more lost productions significantly less lost.

The long-running Argentinian demoparty took place online for the second year in a row, but that didn't detract contestants as the number of entries was really high - possibly the best output ever for a Flash Party. Oldschool, newschool, ANSI, ASCII, Flash Party has it all!
