Distance 1997 was held in Oslo, Norway. 80 people attended, of which about 10% were girls, and 3 were foreigners. 51 people voted in the competitions. The demo competition was pc only, while the 80k and 4k intro competitions were held mixed between pc and amiga, though there were no amiga entries for the 4k compo. Entry #1 in the 80k competition crashed and was never shown.
