This "out of compo" compo was added in error by Princess Luna aka bittin; Since we add those kind of releases differently, this should be deleted.

PrincessLuna - 22:39 6 July 2017 #

@tomaes: sorry did not know that, i am kinda new here

dyno - 18:21 9 July 2017 #

On the Toxic Mag issue #14 intro by ST Knights (https://demozoo.org/productions/75822/)
there is a picture from "Paranoid" (the dragon)
but I do not know which scener it is, to add it to the credits.
Any clue ?

ltk_tscc - 18:56 9 July 2017 #

Dyno: That was easy... fixed it for you ;)

dyno - 06:09 13 July 2017 #

The following production https://demozoo.org/productions/73822/ (and the corresponding pack content) is not an intro, just a bunch of source code. Which type should I select for them in the list ? Pack ? Tool ?

tomaes - 10:22 13 July 2017 #

dyno: Demozoo is not a source code repository. So, technically, if it's only source code, it doesn't belong here.

ltk_tscc - 20:07 13 July 2017 #

Well it has not only sourcecodes and it's a pack. period.

dyno - 22:42 13 July 2017 #

thanks, I also updated the corresponding pack content

FlashyLamer - 17:03 15 July 2017 #

please add the note saying "† 25th of May 2017." to https://demozoo.org/sceners/57854/ since i'm not able to do that :)
(BTW I got the source that he committed suicide on danko's homepage)

tomaes - 07:59 16 July 2017 #

It's on his FB, too. So, done.

rohtie - 15:30 16 July 2017 #

Please remove the first screenshot: https://demozoo.org/productions/174641/screenshots/
Eg, this one: https://media.demozoo.org/screens/s/b5/10/f4d1.142191.jpg it is a WIP and not the final result.

tomaes - 16:19 16 July 2017 #

rohtie: Which is weird, as it looks better and more like it would be the "finished" one; also there's no problem to add WIP shots to graphics entries. Maybe put it in second position instead?

Marq - 20:00 16 July 2017 #

This one is a bit screwed automatic update, I guess: https://demozoo.org/productions/174728/ I've added a better entry for the prod.

Marq - 20:01 16 July 2017 #

This is not by Dekadence at all: https://demozoo.org/graphics/174705/

ltk_tscc - 21:30 16 July 2017 #

Marq: I fixed the Dekadence thing with the infos from CSDB. For the other thing I'm not quite sure what you mean and what to do :)

helper - 21:33 16 July 2017 #

merge: https://demozoo.org/productions/174780/ and https://demozoo.org/productions/174728/ so it looks nice

menace - 09:22 17 July 2017 #

Done. I replaced your entry with marqs entry, since a) it was created by one of the authors, and b) it had a screenshot. Also, these things are easily avoided if people search before they add stuff ;)

ltk_tscc - 18:40 17 July 2017 #

Helper: I have deleted another one of your dupes... please be more careful before adding stuff... it might be already in the database with a slightly different name.

Marq - 20:37 18 July 2017 #

These three are not my pics:
https://demozoo.org/graphics/175383/
https://demozoo.org/graphics/175381/ (this is by Man/Fit)
https://demozoo.org/graphics/175384/
Unfortunately I can't remember who did the two.

This is for MS-DOS:

and this:

Marq - 20:58 18 July 2017 #

There is already a better entry for this BBS intro: https://demozoo.org/productions/171315/

ltk_tscc - 07:20 19 July 2017 #

Marq: I killed the dupes. Can you please link to both BBS intros for better check up? :)

sensenstahl - 20:47 19 July 2017 #

The 2 BBstros with the (almost) same name in the fit prod catalog are different (see notes)

sensenstahl - 20:52 19 July 2017 #

lol they are not. i did run them many times and the one was always red and the other one blue. fixing it myself :)

helper - 22:49 19 July 2017 #

Sorry made some more dupes :(

Delete this: https://demozoo.org/productions/175676/ found some Apple II demos from the Kansasfest website

menace - 09:42 20 July 2017 #

helper: Deleted.

tomaes - 15:11 20 July 2017 #

For some reason I can't edit the author (should be the other Caitiff) or delete: https://demozoo.org/music/59983/

In any case I get a 502 Bad Gateway error.

tomaes - 15:15 20 July 2017 #

(interestingly, it says "deleted production" in the log... twice; I also know of a case where added screenshots don't appear in the log here: http://demozoo.org/edits/)

menace - 14:48 21 July 2017 #

@tomaes: We are aware, we are working on fixing it. I'll post here again the moment I know more. Investigations under way.

tomaes - 11:11 26 July 2017 #

Can we add C64-DTV to the platforms? There are quite a few productions out and it has barely anything to do with original C64 hardware:

(80+ results)
http://csdb.dk/search/advancedresult.php?form%5Bcategory%5D=releases&rrelease_type%5B%5D=40

(30+ results)

Wiki page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C64_Direct-to-TV

ltk_tscc - 20:01 26 July 2017 #

tomaes: you are right and I simply added it... now feel free to populate it :)

menace - 21:20 26 July 2017 #

@tomaes: Oh, and I completely forgot to fill you in on what was going on. You really, really, REALLY should come hang out on Slack, btw :P We had a malfunction that caused cpu load spikes, and while the cpu was working overtime, various other tasks on the site failed right and left. Gasman found the problem and fixed it late monday.

tomaes - 16:46 27 July 2017 #

ltk_tscc: That stuff is rather low on my priority list TBH, but I'll get around to it. ;) I didn't know, you could add platforms just like that.

menace: Good to know. :)

ham - 09:17 29 July 2017 #

I've found that Debugger (AKA Debvgger) has two different pages here in demozoo.

https://demozoo.org/sceners/12689/

https://demozoo.org/sceners/43516/

Could you, please, merge the later with the first and remove the dupe?

Thanks in advance!

ltk_tscc - 09:48 29 July 2017 #

Ham: merged. Thanks for your support :)

ltk_tscc - 11:05 29 July 2017 #

Tomaes: I added atleast everything that is one pouet... just the basic entries.

Request for Tean Name Change
============================

https://demozoo.org/groups/3529/

Please rename this team from "K2 (c64)" to plain "K2" by removing the "(c64)" suffix.

This way it will match the team naming in pouet.net (https://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=2658)

The "(c64)" suffix is also misleading considering that the team is also releasing productions in the categories, 4k pc demo/intro, Playstation, atari ST/E, Nintendo DS, raspberry PI, tracked music, etc.

"K2" was founded by Zed Yago in 1996 (http://csdb.dk/group/?id=1356) and submitted its first official release that same year: “Endless Trip” (http://csdb.dk/event/?id=322) at the “Driven #15” (http://csdb.dk/release/?id=5255) 4k Compo in 1996.

The team has a steady flow of releases since year 2000 until nowadays, only shortly interrupted in the year 2011 when no releases were done that we know of.

Full disclosure: I am a member of this team.

Conflicting team name:
======================

https://demozoo.org/groups/25598/

There is also another K@ team, named "K2 (pc)" which was founded later, or at least released a production later than "K2 (c64)" and apparently it is no longer active since 2001, seemingly disbanded.

https://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=11655

This team is also named “K2 (pc)” in pouet, you may decide to leave the name in demozoo as is, if you deem it proper.

dupes:
https://demozoo.org/productions/127652/
https://demozoo.org/productions/165685/

Saga_Musix - 19:02 31 July 2017 #

KamikaTze: Since the differentiators exist for a reason, I would suggest to change "K2 (c64)" to "K2 (multiple platforms)" or similar. Having a differentiator makes people aware that there is more than one group with that name, so removing it for one group just to have it consistent with Pouet is a bad idea.

blaz: Consider it merged.

100bit - 19:02 31 July 2017 #

https://demozoo.org/productions/176496/ - dupe of https://demozoo.org/graphics/176361/

Saga_Musix - 19:06 31 July 2017 #

By the way, there is no need to add the "found" tag to previously lost prods, as it provides no additional information. If you want to boast about your findings, please do so in the appropriate thread (https://demozoo.org/forums/24/) ;)

Saga_Musix - 19:11 31 July 2017 #

100bit: Deleted, thanks for spotting.

tomaes - 19:29 31 July 2017 #

KamikaTze, Saga: "K2 (multiple platforms)" is a bit clunky, but "K2 (.de)" doesn't quite work either, as they have members from other places too. IMDB is doing the Roman Numerals thing for Actors of the same name, so we could do "K2 (I)" and "K2 (II)" or K2.1 and K2.2.. eh ;)

Saga_Musix - 19:37 31 July 2017 #

Well, we also have other groups with countries as separators where the group is not 100% of that nationality as well. So it could work. Or maybe "multiple" would be better than "multiple platforms"? Or maybe "multi-platform?"
