Cascada was formed by previous members of the cracking group Omega in 1990, by people who would rather make demos than crack games. Original members were Pharos, Iceman and Zodiak. They released their first demo at the end of the year, X-Mas Demo '90, which became legendary as the first pc demo ever to feature a music system - beating their friends in The SpacePigs in the friendly competition they had been having about who would be first.

The group was coarranger of The Computer Crossroads 1993 in may of 1993.
