Resource is a Hungarian-based c64 demo group. Some bio information based on a 2009 snapshot of their homepage at www.resource.cx.
Resource was formed in the summer of 1995, as a fusion of the two Hungarian demo groups Chaos and Exile. The original member status was Cubehead, Lion and Pete from Chaos, and Dale, Edhellon, Flimbo, Jaydee, Oscar and Splash from Exile. The first release from the group was the slideshow Reflection in august of the same year, followed by their first demo Winteractive at Liquid 1995 in december. Shortly after this release, Cubehead decided to leave the group, while Roy from Replay joined as a second group.
1996 started with two releases; the demo Inhumanity II and the slideshow Manga Overdose. Shortly after these releases, the remaining two Chaos members, Lion and Pete, also left the group. At Scenest 1996 in april, Murphy joined the group as a coder. The final issue of their diskmagazine Widobet, which had been carried over from Exile, Widobet 10 was released at Flag 1996 in july. Tyrant joined as a second group (he was also in Therapy) at this party. At Antiq 1996 at the end of august, Inhumanity III won the demo competition. At Pie Slice 1996 in october, the demo Animate won the competition. It became the last production from Resource to feature music from Roy. At the end of the year, several members attended The Party 1996 in Denmark, and placed 3rd with the demo Daze.
They were co-arrangers of Kernel 1997 in march. At Scenest 1997 in april, the demo Out of Daze came 2nd in the competition. At Antiq 1997 at the end of august, Murphy told the group he was leaving to form a c64 section of his pc group Exact. In cooperation with Coma, Void came 3rd at The Party 1997 in december.
In september 1998, the group decided to reorganize, ditching all the inactive members and leaving them with a member status consisting of newly recruited Da Blondie, Credo, Dale, Edhellon, Oscar, Oswald and Tyrant.
