Before joining Fairlight on the Amiga, The Hobbit was known under the handle Anubis/Commando Frontiers on the c64. He joined Fairlight in 1987, and reportedly left the scene in the summer of 1989. He reappeared in 2003 for the c64 demo Legends Never Die.

The april 1988 crack intro for Barbarian was the first time we saw The Hobbit on the Bamiga Sector One memberlist, but he was gone from the list in the october 1988 crack intro for Nebulus.

Hobbit went on to enjoy a successful career as a comic book artist.
