The Lightforce was a c64, Amiga and console cracking group, formed in late 1986 and based around the city of Saarbrücken, Germany. They had a homepage for a while, that contained no real information, and was "under construction" for the entire time it was up.
The december 1986 release of Tarzan Trainer listed Zar, Star, Insider and GSG-9 (Moc, PC Warrior and Lazy Man) as members.
The december 1987 cracks Psycho Soldier + and Deflektor listed Moc, Zar, Jaf, Eurosoft and Boomer as members.
Their Amiga section was formed in early 1988, making their first release with the release of Giana Sisters in march of that year.
Cracker Journal 12 (january 1989) reported, "Two Lightforce members were visited by the police."
They were later revitalized in july 1996 initially returning to making releases on the Amiga. The july cracktro for Der Boss listed Icarus, RKR, Lucas, Funki, Selector, Skinny, Conan, Flash, D-Sign, Mogue!, Kleindumpje, Merlin!, Deskline, MDR and Voyage as members. August's Fighting Spirit showed that Al Bundy, SAL-1, Tentacle , The Assassin, Stingray, Lector and The Dentist were new members, and that Selector was no longer on the memberlist. Der Produzent in september had another listing, revealing that Billy, Whirlwind, Hysteria and Soultaker were new additions to the group, while Stingray, Lector and The Dentist had made brief stays and were gone.
An nfo file dated february 2000 listed the following members; [-rKr-], Hudson Hawk, Kernal, Zoltrix, Digiman, Zaner, Zinko, Vanisher, sTEEL, Case, sHADOW, sNIPER, Shaolin, B and Dual. In another file from april, Vanisher, sTEEL, Case, sHADOW, sNIPER had disappeared from the memberlist, while Speedevil and Onslow had appeared. The may nfo for Alundra 2 revealed Onslow was already gone from the list, while Sobec and Acill were new. The june nfo for Rampage Through Time revealed Zaner had disappeared from the list, while Lowang was a new name. The group put out their first release on the GBA platform in june of this year.
