The Gathering 1992 was held at Skedsmohallen in Lillestrøm just outside Oslo, Norway for the Amiga scene. A PC demo competition was announced, but apparently never held due to a lack of participation. Competitions for Most Useless Utility, Quick Demo, Quick Graphics and Quick Music were also announced in the invitation intro, but none of these competitions are mentioned in the official results. This was the first ever The Gathering event. Submitting of releases through modem was allowed, and the producers did not have to be present at the party place - likely a world first. Entrance fee was set to 150 NOK for Scandinavians, and 100 NOK for anyone from outside Scandinavia.
