Accession is a Finnish-based, originally Amiga (later console and pc) demo and cracking group. They were formed in late july 1988 by Evil, Moku and XYZ from the former Amiga section of Finnish Gold. DDT was main organizer until his passing in 2019. Their first production was Carrier Command at the Byterapers Grendelparty 1988 in august.
Cracker Journal 16 (october 1989) reported, "Scoopex Finland is born. They are some Accession members, the authors of Heavymania..."
The adverts section of Cracker Journal 18 featured a note, saying "In the last two CJ's there have been two ads from some guys who have claimed to be members of Accession. They are NOT members! Only swappers of us are Adept and Hawkwind!" and it further featured a contact address in Heinävesi, Finland. The advertisements in question was likely one pointing to a PLK in Stuttgart, Germany from CJ16, and an ad for Cobra in CJ17.
Upstream 1 (20 january 1993) reported that Eddie & Ice joined from Nemesis, that Skywalker joined, that Drifter left for Gothic, that Inspector & Slash (joint sysops of Terror Dome) joined from Scoopex, that Niko joined from Decade and finally that Shocker and Turtle joined the group from Sonic in october of 1992. Finnish swapper Zakka left Rebels for Accession in the middle of 1993 (source: Chippy Town 1).
X-Files 1 (5 november 1995) reported "all Accession-amiga-ftp-sites are busted. Virtual Light will be online on a new host. KS ][ is online again will get more links in a few month. Diablo will integrate his /X-BBS to the Internet. Then Accession has 3 BBS's in the Internet. ZeR0 has joined Accession."
