The Union was the biggest association of Atari ST demogroups. Started as cracking-group-counterpart to The Blade Runners who ruled the cracking scene in 1988 they soon retired from cracking and moved to mainly creating demos and games. They were active from May 1988 to 1993. The CareBears and The Replicants joined in 1988.

The software-house Thalion was founded by members out of their ranks.
